Wednesday 3 September | 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Ovingham Station

Join us for an immersive nighttime walking tour at the Ovingham Level Crossing Removal project—an award-winning example of how transport infrastructure can be reimagined through a human-centric lens. Delivered by Arup, this interactive "walkshop" will explore how lighting, safety, and inclusive design choices can transform public spaces after dark.

Guided by Arup’s urban design and transport planning team—with special insights from the project’s Aboriginal advisor—you’ll experience firsthand how Connecting to Country principles were embedded in the project through meaningful collaboration.

This unique participatory learning session will encourage conversation, reflection, and ideas for applying evidence-based design approaches to future nighttime infrastructure projects. Torches will be provided—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to see the night in a new light.

Limited to 30 participants. Participants will be asked to gather at the information desk after the Conference Happy Hour and will be escorted as a group, via train to Ovingham Station approximately 10 mins from Adelaide Central Station. More information will be provided on registration.
