CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

This year's theme, Shaping the future, Moving the now,  invites us to consider urgent challenges such as congestion, climate change, equity, and accessibility, while also exploring how shifting demographics and emerging technologies will transform the way we move and grow into the future.

We invite professionals from across the transport industry to submit abstracts for presentations, workshops, or interactive sessions that address critical issues, innovations, and case studies in urban and regional transport planning, mobility, infrastructure, policy, and technology.

In addition to traditional presentations, this year, we’re seeking ideas for interactive workshops that foster discussion, collaboration, and skill-building. Workshop proposals might explore:

  • Leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement in transport projects
  • Emerging trends and technologies shaping the transport landscape
  • Practical tools and methods for transport planning and delivery
  • Strategies for building more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable transport systems

If you have a concept that encourages participation and sparks new ways of thinking, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Submit?

This is a unique opportunity to share your insights and innovations with a diverse audience of over 500 professionals from government, industry, and academia. Presenting at the National Transport Conference allows you to showcase your work, contribute to shaping the future of transport, and engage in meaningful discussions with experts across Australia and internationally.

We especially welcome submissions that:

  • Highlight local government leadership in creating future-ready transport systems.
  • Bring academic and industry research to life through practical applications.
  • Embed First Nations perspectives in transport planning and place-making.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion, amplifying voices and experiences that broaden our industry’s outlook.

Together, let’s explore how we can meet the challenges of the future while enabling better transport outcomes today — shaping the future, by moving the now.
