When and where is the National Transport Conference?

The National Transport Conference will be hosted at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Boulevard Level. Within the Boulevard Foyer (Exhibition), Boulevard Auditorium (Plenary), Room B1, Room B2 and Room B3 (Breakouts) from Wednesday 9 - Friday 11 September 2026.

Conference Plus+ sessions will be held across the Conference in a variety of locations however, attendees are encouraged to arrive on Tuesday 8 September to take full advantage of a full day of ConferencePlus+ prior to the official start of the Conference on Wednesday 9 September. Please refer to the address listed on your bookings for any Conference Plus+ sessions.

The Conference Dinner will be held in the RiverShed at Howard Smith Wharves


What is the dress code?

The National Transport Conference dress code is business casual.

The Conference Dinner dress code is Business Casual. 


How do I get to the National Transport Conference?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Getting to BCEC via public transport is easy and efficient with bus, ferry and train options available. More information about planning your journey via public transport can be found on the TransLink website.

TRAIN
South Brisbane Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre on Grey Street or South Bank Railway Station are the most convenient stations to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

BUS SERVICES
The Cultural Centre Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station cnr of Colchester and Tribune Streets are closest to BCEC.  

CITYCATS & FERRIES
The public transport ferries CityCats operate everyday and stop at the South Bank River Terminal on the Clem Jones Promenade. The inner-city ferry travels between the CBD, North Quay and Kangaroo Point, stopping at South Bank Terminal 1 and 2 on the Clem Jones Promenade.

WALKING OR RIDING
BCEC is a short stroll across from the Brisbane CBD connected by Victoria Bridge. Hotels, restaurants and bars, South Bank beach and parklands are all within walking distance from BCEC. 
Riding can be either via shared e-scooters or e-bikes and mention there’s a bike rack near the entrance. 

CAR PARKING
The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre has three entrances.  The Main Entrance on the corner of Merivale & Glenelg Streets, the Grey Street Entrance, and the Exhibition Entrance at the corner of Melbourne & Merivale Streets.

There is undercover parking for up to 1500 vehicles, with a direct lift to the Convention Centre's multiple convention floors.  Car park 1 is best for Merivale Street rooms, Car Park 2 & 3 are best for Exhibition Halls and Grey Street rooms via Russell Street Walkway.

Do I need a 'physical ticket' to attend the National Transport Conference?

All guests registered to attend the National Transport Conference will receive a name badge at arrival. This name badge is your ticket to the Conference; it will highlight your ticket type and the details about the networking events you are also registered for.


Will there be a photographer or media at the Conference?

Yes, our official photographer will be capturing still photography and also a number of videos at the Conference. There may also be Media present at any time throughout the National Transport Conference. By registering to attend the National Transport Conference, you accept that various events may be photographed, video or audio recorded and that this content may be used by TPA at its discretion on our website, via social media, newsletters or other promotional material.  


CATERING

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are included on all conference days. Coffee and water stations will be available throughout the venue.

I have dietary requirements — will these be accommodated?
Absolutely. Please ensure your dietary requirements were included in your registration. These will be catered for at all functions and meal breaks. Should you wish to confirm your dietary requirements, please contact the National Transport Conference Team on 
conference@transportprofessionals.com.au.
 


SOCIAL FUNCTIONS AND NETWORKING

You will need to have a registration to attend any Social Functions at the National Transport Conference.

If you hold a 3 day full conference pass your, registration includes access to

  • Welcome Happy Hour
  • Conference Dinner (Howard Smith Wharves)
  • Closing Drinks

Please refer to your booking confirmation, which highlights functions you are able to attend. 

You will also automatically see the functions you are registered for under your 'Personal Agenda' in the Conference App.


Can I bring a guest to the social events?

Yes, additional tickets for guests can be purchased during registration or by contacting the National Transport Conference Team via conference@transportprofessionals.com.au- please note availability may be limited


CHANGES TO YOUR REGISTRATION

What if I need to cancel or transfer my registration?

Please contact the National Conference Team as soon as possible via conference@transportprofessionals.com.au.
Transfers to colleagues may be possible depending on timing. Please refer to the below booking terms and conditions.

If you are now unable to attend the National Transport Conference, please refer to our booking and refund policies below.

Cancellation
Attendees who find themselves unable to attend the National Transport Conference after submitting their online registration are able to nominate a substitute. All substitutions and cancellations must be made by email to conference@transportprofessionals.com.au.

Please note any accommodation or travel booking cancellations must be arranged from your point of purchase. TPA holds no liability for any losses incurred from this cancellation for travel, accommodation or any other expenses.

No Shows
If you are unable to attend, please advise us via emailing conference@transportprofessionals.com.au to cancel your registration.
If you fail to advise us prior to the Conference , we regard your registration as 'no show' and cancellation fee of 100% will apply.

Refund policy

  • All refunds will incur a $5.00 processing fee, which will be deducted off the total amount purchased on top of any additional fees incurred. Substitution of attendees is recommended.
  • Allow up to 10 business days to received your requested refund.
  • Cancellation up to 28 days prior to the commencement of the National Transport Conference will be eligible for a full refund, less an administration fee of $100.
  • Cancellations received between 27 days and 10 days of the commencement of the National Conference will be eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellation within 10 days of the National Conference will not be eligible for a refund.
