Rapid Research Showcase SESSION
Are you an early-career researcher/student with some exciting transport research to share?
The 2026 National Transport Conference is now inviting expressions of interest to participate in a Rapid Research Showcase Session organised as part of the Emerging Professionals Network and to be featured during the Friday (11 September 2026 ) Conference Program.
We welcome transport-related research across planning, engineering, policy, data, sustainability, safety, emerging transport technologies, or other related fields.
Whether you’re an honours student completing your thesis, or a PHD student, we’re interested in what you have to share!
What can you expect?
With a conference theme of “Shaping the future, moving the now”, we’re keen to get your insights on urgent challenges such as congestion, climate change, equity, and accessibility, or topics that explore how shifting demographics and emerging technologies will transform the way we move and grow into the future.
Successful applicants will be invited to present a short, sharp, fun summary of their research using 3 PowerPoint slides and a maximum of 3 minutes. Following all presentations, there will be time for Q&A with the audience. The format aims to provide a supportive environment for emerging professionals to present.
What does the poster session require?
- Maximum 3 slides submitted two weeks prior to the conference
- Presentation for a maximum of 3 minutes in a short, sharp, fun format
- Availability to attend the presentation session on Friday, 11 September with any conference ticket or travel at your own cost

TPA (membership is free for students) or be presenting on undergraduate
research as an Associate member
